Town & Country Hideaway

Not worth the money or the back pain Positive: The area the rental was located in was very nice. The room was clean Negative: It was a rainy day when we arrived. The driveway and parking were mud and water and our shoes were under water the moment we stepped out of our car. There was no safety railing on the wet, wood steps leading up to the deck and no overhead to hide under while putting the entry code in in order to get inside. The storm door was mismatched and hard to close. Interior was freezing cold but there was no thermostat. I called the owners and asked where it was, and was informed there was none. The temperature was controlled by the attached house. We knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Bathroom had zero amenities: no shampoo or shower soap and, as my wife discovered after her shower, no hair dryer. Kitchen had zero oven trays/cook pans and the oven was disgusting (obviously had not been cleaned in quite some time). One of the cups we used from the cupboard had a hole in it and another was badly cracked. The bed was a full-size Murphy Bed, not a Queen, and it opened very close to the floor making it difficult to get in and out.  The mattress, thin and uncomfortable memory foam that sagged badly in the middle & covered by a thin sheet and thick plastic mattress pad that caused the bed to sleep very hot. We found ourselves sweating under the comforter, despite the ice-cold room. On night 2, I attempted to sleep instead, on the futon in the room. But it was as hard as a rock and unusable.  TV remote at one time had been taped together. But the tape was gone leaving a sticky mess to handle. The TV operated via Amazon fire TV & required a code to change channels. This was easily one of the worst rentals we have ever stayed in

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen Keinerlei Wohlfühlen möglich Positive: Die Lage war mitten im Wald, sehr ruhig. Negative: Das ganze Haus war extrem verwohnt, schmutzig. Die Matratze war mit einem Plastikbezug überzogen, sehr unkompfortabel. Alles war alt, renovierungsbedürftig. Die Fotos sind wohl sehr alt. Könnte ich null Sterne vergeben, wäre das angemessen. Die Küchenschränke, die Ablage. Die Kaffeemaschine, die Waschmaschine, alles ungepflegt. Die Matratze war komplett durchgelegen, es ist ein Schrankbett, null Liegekompfort. Eingangsstufen und Geländer morsch/gefährlich. Als im Nachbarappartment gekocht wurde, hat unser Zimmer gestunken.

Ok. Positive: Gelegen in een rustige mooie buurt. Negative: Het bed was niet comfortabel: plastic cover matras, klein, matrasovertrek kwam vaak los. Accommodatie heeft een opfrissing nodig langs de buitenkant. Het zijn twee aaneengesloten units, wat volgende problemen geeft: veel geluid en kookgeur van andere unit kwam onze unit binnen. Met als gevolg dat onze unit naar look rook, we lieten daarom de ventilator in de badkamer draaien. We konden de schuifdeur niet laten openstaan ter verluchting omdat het een koude nacht was (baby 9 maanden). AC was niet te bedienen.

Country atmosphere, all conveniences nearby Positive: Very clean, quiet, country-like area, owners responded promptly to questions. I like outdoors. There was a small porch on front and back where I could sit outside. Walmart and Publix within 30 minutes. Had everything I needed for my stay. I only bought my food. Negative: There didn't seem to be a thermostat for my side. It was very comfortable the first 2 days alone but 2 days when other guests arrived I froze at night. Once they left, the thermostat seemed to be raised back up. I am 69 and cold natured. It didn't affect what I liked about the apartment. If I go back in the future I'll just pack a sweater and some extra blankets to take with me.
